This past summer (honestly, where has the time gone?) I was able to witness Kaitlyn and Derek’s beautiful ceremony and reception to celebrate their marriage and new life together. Of course despite just being a guest, I couldn’t help but pick up my camera to document their wedding! I have personally known the couple since college through the music program and pep band – and coincidentally, through the program is how I met my husband as well. The theme of music was creatively interspersed into various details throughout the wedding: dinner tables named after famous composers, saxophone decorations in flower arrangements (which they both played in pep band), and wine stoppers adorned with music notes. Their stunning reception was at the Biltmore plaza in downtown Providence. Following the first dance and toasts, Derek created a unique and special moment by joining the live band to perform a piece he personally composed himself for his new wife. Emotions of the moment can be evidently seen below! The live band was a hit and got the guests on their feet throughout the evening.
Congratulations to Kaitlyn and Derek – the wedding was stunning and went without a hitch. Wishing you both the absolute best!
